Maps rank grid, explained

A Maps rank grid checks where your business ranks on Google Maps from many points around your location, and shows the results as a grid of colored dots on a map.

Why it matters

Local results change with the searcher’s location, so one ranking number doesn’t tell the whole story. A grid shows where you are strong and where competitors win, often just a mile or two away.

How to improve it

  • Look for weak spots at the edge of your area and check who ranks there.
  • Make sure your categories and services match what people search.
  • Keep reviews and photos coming; they help with prominence.

Where to see it

Bloomize runs the grid monthly on Growth and weekly on Pro. See it in the sample report and on the Maps ranking feature page.
