Key events (conversions), explained

A key event is an action on your website that matters to your business, such as a form submission, a call click or a booking, that you mark as important in Google Analytics 4. Google used to call these conversions.

Why it matters

Visitors are nice; leads pay the bills. Marking key events lets you see which sources and pages actually bring customers, not just traffic.

How to improve it

  • Track contact forms, call clicks and booking clicks as events.
  • Mark the important ones as key events in GA4.
  • If you run Google Ads, import them as conversions to measure cost per lead.

Where to see it

Bloomize shows leads from your key events next to visitors and sources, from Google Analytics.
