Click-through rate (CTR), explained

Click-through rate is the share of people who clicked your result after seeing it: clicks divided by impressions.

Why it matters

CTR is a quick check on how attractive your search result is. A low CTR at a good position often means your title or description doesn’t match what people are looking for.

How to improve it

  • Use the words customers use, not internal jargon, in your page titles.
  • Add your location and a clear benefit.
  • Keep your Google Business Profile complete; for local searches it often appears above websites.

Where to see it

Bloomize shows CTR for your site and for each top search, from Search Console.
