Impressions vs clicks, explained

An impression is counted when your website appears in someone’s Google search results; a click is counted when they actually click through to your site.

Why it matters

Impressions tell you how often Google shows you; clicks tell you how often people choose you. Rising impressions with flat clicks usually means you appear for more searches but not high enough, or your page titles don’t stand out.

How to improve it

  • Write page titles that say what you do and where, in plain words.
  • Create a page for each main service so you show up for specific searches.
  • Watch click-through rate and average position together with clicks.

Where to see it

Bloomize shows both on the Google search page of your dashboard, from Google Search Console.
